Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

CurbCanvas: Exterior AI is operated by Jing Zhou ("CurbCanvas," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy applies to the CurbCanvas: Exterior AI iOS application and its related generation service.

2. Information we process

Photos you choose

You may take a photo or choose one from your photo library. Before AI generation, the app prepares a reduced-size JPEG copy of the selected image with a maximum edge of 1,024 pixels. The original image remains on your device unless you separately choose to manage or delete it in iOS.

Photos may incidentally contain people, vehicles, addresses, or other personal information. Please use a photo you have the right to submit and avoid including unnecessary personal information.

Design instructions

We process the exterior style, strength, and other design instructions you select so we can create the requested result.

Service identifiers and technical data

The generation service processes a randomly generated app-install identifier, project and request identifiers, app version, device language, timestamps, network information such as IP address, and limited request and error diagnostics. We use this information to route requests, prevent abuse, secure the service, deliver results, and troubleshoot failures.

CurbCanvas: Exterior AI does not require an account for the current app experience. We do not request your name, email address, or contact list to use the generation feature.

Local app data

Imported images, projects, generated results, favorites, and your AI-consent choice are stored in the app's local storage. A generated image is added to your Photos library only when you choose to save it.

Subscription information

CurbCanvas: Exterior AI offers weekly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple's App Store. Apple processes payments. The app receives StoreKit product, transaction, and entitlement status needed to display prices, unlock Pro access, and restore purchases. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

3. AI processing and consent

Before a personal photo is sent for AI processing, the app displays an AI Photo Processing notice that explains what is sent, who processes it, and why it is needed. Generation does not start unless you choose Agree or Agree & Generate. If you choose Not Now, no personal photo is sent.

Your consent choice is stored on your device. You can review the notice or withdraw consent from Import Photo > How AI uses photos. After withdrawal, the app will ask again before a later personal-photo upload.

The processing path is:

1. The app sends the reduced-size image, selected instructions, and service metadata over HTTPS to the CurbCanvas generation endpoint at render.curbstudioai.com.
2. Cloudflare, Inc. provides DNS, encrypted edge delivery, traffic protection, and Cloudflare Workers used to route the request.
3. AI inference runs on compute infrastructure supplied by AutoDL/SeetaCloud, operated by 中科视拓（南京）科技有限公司 and 视拓云（南京）科技有限公司.
4. The requested result is returned through the CurbCanvas result service and downloaded to the app.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

• provide the generation and image-result features you request;
• maintain projects and generated looks on your device;
• display subscription products and provide or restore Pro access;
• operate, protect, diagnose, and improve service reliability;
• prevent abuse and unauthorized access; and
• respond to support, privacy, security, and legal requests.

We do not use AI output to make legal, financial, employment, housing, insurance, or similarly significant decisions about you.

5. Service providers and sharing

We share information only as needed with service providers that help deliver the requested app functions.

These providers are permitted to process information only to provide their contracted services, protect those services, or comply with applicable law. We require service providers to protect information consistently with this Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the service, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a business reorganization subject to appropriate privacy protections.

6. Retention and deletion

• On-device data: Projects, imported images, generated results, favorites, and consent status remain on your device until you delete the relevant content or uninstall the app, subject to normal iOS and iCloud backup behavior.
• Server-side media and instructions: Reduced-size uploaded photos, generation instructions, and generated result files are treated as transient processing data. They are retained only as needed to complete and deliver a request, support retries, prevent abuse, and investigate errors, and are scheduled for deletion no later than 30 days after the request is completed.
• Request and security records: Pseudonymous request identifiers, timestamps, network-security information, and limited diagnostics may be retained for up to 90 days for service security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting.
• Backups and legal holds: Residual copies in provider backups, if any, are scheduled to age out within 90 days. Information may be retained longer only when reasonably required by law, to resolve a dispute, or to investigate security abuse.

CurbCanvas does not provide a permanent cloud photo library. Generated results that you keep are stored in the app or in your Photos library when you choose to save them.

To request deletion of server-side information, email support@curbstudioai.com with the approximate request date and any request ID or context available in the app. Because the current app does not require an account, these details help us locate the relevant request. We will verify and respond to a valid request within 30 days, or within any shorter period required by applicable law.

7. Camera, photos, and device permissions

Camera access is used only when you choose to capture a home photo. Photo-library access is used when you choose an image or save a generated result. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings. Where supported by iOS, the app uses system pickers so you can choose specific photos without granting broad library access.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information; object to or restrict processing; or withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

You can:

• decline AI processing before any personal photo is sent;
• withdraw AI-processing consent from Import Photo > How AI uses photos;
• delete local content or uninstall the app to remove its local storage;
• manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings; and
• contact support@curbstudioai.com for a privacy or deletion request.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal. If processing is necessary to provide a generation you request, declining or withdrawing consent means that personal-photo generation cannot proceed.

9. International processing

Cloudflare operates a global network, and the AI compute infrastructure used by the service may process data in China. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country or region. Where applicable law requires it, we use contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards for international transfers.

10. Security

We use HTTPS in transit, signed service requests, access controls, data minimization, and operational safeguards designed to protect information. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. If we learn of a data incident that requires notice, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.

11. Children's privacy

CurbCanvas: Exterior AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact support@curbstudioai.com so we can investigate and delete it where required.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, service providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at privacy.curbstudioai.com and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how personal information is processed, we will provide any additional notice or consent required by law.
